My wife and I spent a week at this hotel, and we'd like to share our experience. The highlights of our stay were: 1. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. 2. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, especially the beds. 3. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and great quality (don’t miss the cakes!). 4. The location, swimming pool, and beach were very clean, secure, and beautiful. 5. The fitness center (outdoor gym) was fairly well equipped and allowed the guests to take advantage of the environment. Where could they improve? The dinners and bar. I suggest adding the ingredients for dinner options and cocktails to the menu to help guests better understand what they are ordering. Overall, our experience was fantastic—beyond what you'd expect from a 3-star resort! We will definitely return.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel is truly outstanding and the concept of the hotel is also very impressive, blending modern design with a relaxed vibe that really enhances the stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, particularly Marina in the restaurant, who went above and beyond to fulfill our every request. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay even more memorable. That said, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The room was really small but with some creativity placing of personal belongings was doable. But the bathroom is really cramped. Despite these small issues, the fantastic location, innovative concept, and outstanding service from the staff, especially Marina, made our stay highly enjoyable. I would definitely recommend PLACES by Valamar to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay on Hvar, with just a few areas for improvement.

✨ **Fantastic Experience at Places by Valamar!** ✨ We stayed in September and were blown away by the friendly service—they upgraded our room for free, which was a lovely surprise! 🏖️ The smart rooms are super convenient (no key, just a bracelet!), and the bed was so comfortable we fell asleep in seconds. 🛏️ We had a stunning sea view, and even rainy days couldn’t ruin the vibe. 🌧️ The beach is just a short walk from the hotel (45 seconds, to be exact ⏱️), and there are two pools and jacuzzis. Lounge chairs are free and easy to grab, especially off-season. 🏊♂️ The food… wow! So many options, including veggie and gluten-free. 🥑🥖 We were amazed by how accommodating the staff was, adjusting meals for us to avoid pork with no issues. One evening, we didn’t enjoy a dish, and the wonderful waitress (forgot her name, starts with M) replaced it with another meal *and* gave us free coffee! ☕ Such amazing service. And speaking of service—the staff truly made our stay unforgettable. From reception to waiters and cleaners, everyone was incredibly kind and attentive. Their warmth and professionalism added so much to the experience, and they went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. 🌟 The activities are endless—yoga, kayaking, biking, and more. 🧘♀️🚴♂️ The whole hotel has a relaxing yet professional vibe. We felt welcome every minute and can’t wait to return! 💫 **By the way, I would add more beautiful pictures, but I’m avoiding posting any with faces.** 📸
More of a 4.5 really - wonderful grounds with loads of loungers, cabanas, and general lounging space - no issues with getting a spot at the end of September. Heated pool is a delight. Breakfast buffet is quite comprehensive and the €25 pp flexi credit can be used all at once or throughout your stay. Food was fine but not great, drinks were solid. Some of the glasses could’ve done with a proper wash and bathrooms could’ve been better. Would I still come back though? Absolutely.
