We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Valamar in Stari Grad. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel itself is beautiful — perfectly situated with stunning views, clean and modern facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s ideal for relaxing on the island. But what truly made our experience exceptional was Marco. He was incredibly kind, approachable, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Whether it was offering great recommendations, helping us arrange activities, or just having a friendly chat, Marco made us feel like more than just guests — he made us feel at home. His warm personality and genuine care for guests really stood out and made a lasting impression on us. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and personable, and he added a special touch to our vacation that we’ll always remember. We highly recommend Valamar in Stari Grad — not only for its quality and location, but also for the amazing staff like Marco who go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

It was a few days of complete enjoyment. Places Hotel has a modern charm, but the real warmth comes from the people. Breakfast was fantastic, with local flavors and beautifully served plates. But what makes it truly special is the staff. Stefan is the perfect example of what a hotel employee should be – sincere, dedicated, discreet, yet always there. His attention to every detail is remarkable.

We felt like we were visiting dear friends, not just staying at a hotel. Places is a place that radiates peace, style, and attention to detail. Breakfast was exceptionally high quality, with plenty of options and beautifully presented. But what we will remember most is the staff. Stefan, thank you especially – your warmth, sense of humor, and subtle care made this holiday special.

Lovely hotel but it doesn't seem to know quite who its target audience is. Seems to want to be a party hotel, but the location and clientele are more suited to a quiet retreat. Rooms were nice and clean, but very small bathrooms. Our balcony must have been the only one in the hotel completely obstructed by a tree which was a bit annoying. Food was really good, the half board was amazing as a 25€ per day credit per person for food or drink. Great location for town, 15 minute walk, or walking out in to the countryside to the North of the hotel where there are amazing coves within a 4 to 5 mile walk.sun beds were tough to get at times, and the whole pool area is in shade a lot. More smaller sunbeds would be better in my view than lots of the big beds. Hefty fee for a sunbed on the beach to the front of the hotel, had I known prior to going this might have put me off, I feel like it's represented as an included feature but it is not. Lots of sunbeds left all day with towels on and noone at them, and the hotel didn't seem to do a lot to enforce their no reservations rule. All staff were great and helpful with any problems.

It’s hard to put into words how beautiful our stay at Places Hotel was. Breakfast was more than a meal – it was an experience, carefully prepared with lots of love. The staff was incredibly kind, discreet, yet always present when needed. Stefan stood out as someone who truly puts his heart into his work – I haven’t experienced such kindness, sincere interest, and warmth in a long time. We are deeply grateful to him.
